Volunteering with The Link

The Link has over 70 people volunteering in most aspects of The Link’s programmes. Currently our youngest volunteer is 20 and our oldest 75. We also have young people working as peer mentors and we support placements from schools, colleges and other statutory services.

As an organization The Link values and wishes to actively encourage volunteering.

We believe volunteers:

  • Provide positive role models
  • Involve people from a wide range of backgrounds and opinions
  • Add value – people giving of their time freely is very important to those who use The Link
  • Develop their skills and confidence and improve their chances of employability through volunteering

Volunteering:

  • Helps people to become aware of issues/needs
  • Helps develop networks into the community
  • Enables Christians to have a practical expression of their faith
