Recognition for The Link for the effective involvement of volunteers!

altThe Link Family and Community Centre have recently achieved the Investing in Volunteers Quality Standard, recognising the excellent work they do with volunteers.

Befriending Achievement for The Link

The Link’s MARC Project and volunteers recognised for mentoring and befriending achievement

The Link’s MARC Project has been shortlisted for the regional finals of the ‘Mentoring and Befriending Recognition Awards 2010’. The awards recognise individuals and organisations that have made a difference to people’s lives through mentoring and befriending services.

Link Awarded Investing in Volunteers Chartermark

 

The Link is delighted that we have been awarded the prestigious Investing in Volunteers Quality Standard for volunteer management. Following an inspection process in August with a sample of half of The Link's volunteers, the National Quality Assurance Panel met on 12th October 2010 and endorsed the assesseor's decision to recommend The Link for the award. We hope to announce the date of an organisational celebration very soon. www.investinginvolunteers.org.uk

 

Churches Research Launched

Wednesday 29th September saw the Launch of a major research report which explored the relations between churches on the Ards Peninsula and the role they play collectively in local communities.
