Fundraising Events to help Development Fund
This year's fundraising programme offers a number of ways to support The Link's Development Fund. Further details about our programme can be obtained by contacting The Link
Slieve Donard Challenge, Saturday 19th September 2009
The sponsored walk to the summit of Slieve Donard took place on Saturday 19th September to raise funds for the work of The Link.
Volunteers, supporters, members of staff and management committee, friends and family took part in the event. The walkers set off from Donard Park and walked up the Glen River valley to the Mourne Wall before ascending the final steep climb to the top of the mountain.
Everyone reached the summit and there was a huge sense of achievement as they all made their way back to Donard Park. The Link is grateful for the efforts of everyone who took part and for their support for its work.

May Ball 2009
Clandeboye Lodge was the venue for The Link May Ball on Friday 15th May. After a drinks reception and music by the Regent House Quartet, guests enjoyed an excellent meal. Music for the evening was provided by Siobhan Pettit and Nightswing. The evening was hugely enjoyable and another successful fundraising event.
  
 
 
Common Grace and Common Ground Conference
The Common Grace and Common Ground Conference Churches and Communities Working Together took place on Saturday 25th April 2009 at West Church, Bangor, The conference aimed to enable churches and Christian groups to be challenged and encouraged to effectively engage with their local community.
The event was attended by representatives from a wide range of churches and groups. Feedback from participants and information on the conference presentations will be posted soon.
Newtownards Street Collection Raises £611
Volunteers from The Link undertook a very successful street collection in Newtownards town centre on Saturday 2 August 2008. The collection raised £611 for the Development Fund.
The event was organised by The Link's Fundraising Committee and co-ordinated by Kathleen Allsopp. A big thank you to Kathleen and the team of volunteers for their great effort and for the genorosity of all those who made donations.

Link building project Official Launch

Link raises over £13,000 in Scrabo Tower Abseil
Saturday 6 October 2007 saw 42 people abseil Scrabo Tower to raise funds for the Development Fund of The Link.
A large crowd of family and friends joined the abseilers to cheer them on.
Congratulations to Ken and Jen Nelson who raised over £2600 and won the weekend for two at the Liffey Valley Clarion.
