altIt has been a busy few months on the MARC Project and with Christmas round the corner it is likely to get even busier!! So what’s been going on that is so busy I hear you say!

Well, firstly we have four new faces on the block - two staff and two volunteers.

We have been getting to know these new personalities and have spent some time helping them to settle into the usual MARC routine. As we get to know them more we are beginning to see the skills to add to our list! Roll on 2012!

Now that they have settled in, however, we are about to hit the busiest period of our year - Christmas! We have a number of events coming up in the next 3 weeks and they are outlined below:

Christmas market stall - Saturday 10thDecember in Newtownards Square.

Our women’s group have been busy making craft items and packaging beautiful gifts for their Christmas stall.  We are hoping it will as big a success as last year, when our group not only made over £200 for the MARC Committee funds, but some also recognised their talent for sales and people skills!

Christmas Garden in the MARC-iT

Our Christmas garden in MARC-iT is such a success that we are planning it again for this year. We will be decorating our garden to transform it into a Winter Wonderland, and will have a bit of a party there (weather permitting) on Wednesday 21stDecember.

MARC Project Christmas Dinner

Friday 23rdDecember will be a day to remember if you’re part of The MARC Project.  We will be eating a full Christmas dinner, enjoying Christmas music and sharing gifts to mark the birth of Christ Jesus. The volunteers and clients as well as those who volunteer in The Link Reception will be gathering for some festive cheer!

All in all, a busy few weeks, but hopefully a very enjoyable few weeks too.
